B00GER RED WINS IN SENSATIONAL FINISH. Takes the Feature from E. M. Fry by a Head — Lucky Lad Defeats Chimney Sweep. Los Angeles. CM., March 27. — The Santa Anita Racing Association is certainly giving the poorer class of owners a chance to win a race in the closing days of the meeting, for the fields today were unwieldy and the selection of winners very difficult. The feature race of the day was the third, which was taken by Booger Red in a sensational drive from E. M. Fry. the former carrying the latter out in the closing strides. All Alone, which finished third, was backed by the eastern contingent, hut tired near the end when his chances of winning seemed good. The victories of Lucky Lad and Gentle Harry were a good break for tie- layers, many of whom recouped on their losses of the last few days.
