THE BROOK CUP STEEPLECHASE. As usual, steeplechasing will be one of the leading features- of tho Belmont Park autumn meeting, a majority of the big events having been retained. One of special interest is the Brook Cup Handicap, which has a beautiful ,500 gold cup added by the Brook Club and 50 added by tho AAestchester Racing Association. By the conditions it must be won twice, not necessarily consecutively, by the same owner before becoming his property. So far the Bonnie Brook Stable has won a leg with Alfar: AV. C. Hayes one witli Grandpa and J. E. AVidener one with Cbligny. Only the last two have a chance of acquiring complete ownership of the coveted trophy tJiis fall, the Bonnie Brook Stable having no nomination. The entries are the following: Carle. Edward H.
