ANOTHER NEW YORK TURF CASE. New York. November 24. Following the decision of the Appellate Division of the First Department, which declared that private wagering at the race tracks is not a violation of the Ilart-Agnew law, where neither of the parties to the wager is a pro-fessioual gambler, counsel for Orlando A. Jones, "Sol" Lichteustein and u score of other bookmakers, arrested at the local tracks last summer, argued for their release on habeas corpus proceedings before Judge Maddox, in the Supreme Court, Brooklyn. Judge Maddox reserved decision.
