AMERICANS NOMINATE LIBERALLY. Of the American turfmen whose horses have engagements in England those who have made the most llleral entries are James It. Keene, Harry Payne Whitney, Herman B. Duryea, F. R. Hitchcock and J. E. Madden. Nominations for stakes for the seasons of 1909. 10 JO and 1911. which have just closed, show that these turfmen have entered colts and fillies in such important two-year-old events as the New Stakes, the. Hopeful, the Prendergast, the Middle Park Plate, Dewhurst Plate and Champagne Stakes. Three-year-old engagements include nominations in the One Thousand Guineas. Two Thousand Guineas, Ascot Stakes, Prince of Wales Stakes and Ascot Derby.
