Mose Goldblatt arrived In Chicago Friday on his way to Cincinnati. His stable is on its way to Ixuisville. Vie Terry is planning on taking jockey Coburn east to ride on the New York tracks at the close of the California season. The Pimlico track Is in fine condition for the spring meeting and Superintendent llreunan is now busily engaged in preparing the jumps for the cross-countr.v racing. It is asserted that W. C. Hayes, the gentleman rider, merely superintends the training of G. A. Saportas horses at Maisons-Latfitte. France, Jameson being the recognized professional trainer. The horses of Robert Neville have arrived at Pini lico, getting in yesterday from his farm in Ipper-ille. Va.. where they were iiuartcred dining the winter. Sir W.K.stei and Garterman are in the lot. Frank Skinner has accepted the position of presiding judge for the Victoria meeting, offered him by General Manager Robert Leighton. The meeting will tie given under the auspices of the Victoria Driving Club. James R. Keenes Ballot, 129 pounds, is third choice for the Jabilee Handicap at Kempton Park, to be ruu toward the end of April. He is at 20 to 1. Recent reports from England sav that Colin and Ballot are doing regular gallop* at Beckbamp-toii under the care of Sam Darling. Thomas H. Smith has been appointed racing secretary of the Coney Island Jockey Club. He-has acted in that capacity for some years, but Cornelius Followes recent resignation as secretary gave the club an opportunity to officially promote "Tommv" Smith. For the present Mr. Schomtierg will replace Mr. Fellowes.
