TRAINING GALLOPS AT LEXINGTON. i Lexington Ky . April 17. — With warm weather and a good track as favorable factors the horses are being sent along in lively fashion over the local track. Some of the best moves of Friday were: Ada Meade— Mile in 1:44*. handily. T.-rah — Mile in 1:43. easily. Petulant — Same, handily. Zipango Three quarters in 1:13. pulled up seven-eighths in 1:304, ln-st of the morning. Lu.lhiana — Three-quarters in l:13ii, pulled up; seven eighths in 1:31. impressively. Refined -Three quarters in 1:17. kicked out. Buck — Same, handily. Barane — Three quarters in 1:17?. tiring. Berwick — Three-quarters in 1:18, tiring badly, very disappointing. Lady Oriinar — Five-eighths in 1:02-. handily. Bessette -five eighths in 1:0.JR. impressively. Snake Mary Same. Ironliound — Fin-eighths in 1:05. easily. Kul Shawl -Same. I.ajeuncsse — Five eighths in 1:045. all out. Dr. Barkley — Three-eighths in oO". breather for tomorrows mile. Two-year-olds — G. M. Miller Lissak Subdue colt, belonging to E. A. Brennaii. Leeman. halves in 4!*: Ovelando and Daintv Dame, live eighths in 1:0:;. and Ohelda and Jack Baker, three quarters in 1:10]. The Kentucky Derby candidates. Miami and Dr. Barkley. worked a mile each. Miami stepped three-quarters in 1:15: seven eighths in 1 :2S and cantered-out the mile in l:t:i. Ihe more the trainers see this horse the better they like his chances for the big prize at Louisville. Dr. Barkley. had he been properly rated, could have worked his mile in possibly 1:43. As it was. he went one-eighth in 1:11=. one-quarter in 23|, three eighths In S3, one half In 471. five-eighths in 1:011. three-quarters in 1:15» and the mile in 1:45. The string of G. W. J.
