OAKLAND RACING STATISTICS. The New California Jockey Clubs winter meeting for the season of 100s 09, which opened November 7 and came to a close April 17. embraced 159 racing davs. and during that time 835 races were decided, for which there was a total distribution ol 8455.743 in stakes and purses. F. A. Forsvthe. tin- Kentucky turfman, who raced his hor-a-s exclusively over the Oakland track, is at the head of the winning list, bis horses having gathered the large sum of 838.500. Second in the list is S. C. Ilil-dreth. Willi 1,100 to his credit, due to King Janus success in the valuable Burns Handicap. Next is H. G. BodwelL Who has done remarkably well, his hi hi II having rolled op a total of 830,800. Following in order are T. II. Williams. Keeno Bros.. It. L Thomas, It. Sohrollier. P. Dunne. C. R. P 1 The long, uninterrupted spoil of bad weather which prevailed along the California coast throughout the winter made fast time almost Impossible over the Oakland track, and although some of the fastest horses that have ever raced on the coast competed over the New California Jockey Clubs course during the meeting which iust closed, only one new record was made. when, on March 15.
