POWERFUL SEAGRAM STABLE OF 1909. Writing from Waterloo. Out., in the Toronto Rlohe. Judge Nelison has this to say of tlie Seagram sialde now fitting for the season of Canadian racing Io open at Toronto May 22: •All Hw horses are in the- pink of health and good nler. and their healthy coats tell the tale of a satisfactory wintering. Thirty one. all told, are being prepared for tJbe approaehing season, with the champion. Inferno, heading the list. The big horse, looks his part, as he always did. and trainer Little-, held expects liim to go to the races again Inferno is now seven years old. and is quite sound, except for a troublesome foot. Two five-year-olds. Maiu-chance and Purslane, lioth frequent winners, witli • ight four-year-olds, a dozen, three-year olds and eight youngsters make up the total. Besides the youngsters and three of the Platers, three of I iie three-year olds will foe seen at the raivs this season fi f I lie lirst time. Two of them are English-hied Kd Haines and Lady Fitzsiiinui. The former, a black colt, by The Tartar, is named for the well-known Uwen Sound importer of thoroughbred stock, who has MMH out so many good ones to carry the black and yellow jacket."
