TRANCE OUT OF TRAINING. New York. May 2S.-— Trance has been thrown out of training, and it is doubtful if she will be brought back to the post this season at least. George Odoui has been trying hard to lit her for the races, hut he was for.ed to come to the conclusion that if she was to be saved for usefulness at all. she would have to be blistered and turned out. This spring she was training in excellent fashion and Odom had hope that sin would take the measure of some of the best of the three-year olds. She had shown that she would go on ami she had lost none of the brilliant sliced that made her a remarkable two-year-old last year. She was only started once, and on that occasion, at Pimlico. she very easily disposed of some smart sprinters. After that race she was worked a mile in 1:481 and gave every evidence of developing into a mare callable of racing as far as horses are asked to go. Shortly after this work her knees- bothered her greatly and no amount of doctoring appeared to do them any good.
