EVEN BREAK ON BELMONT PARK MEETING. Westchester Racing Association Able to Meet Heavy Stake Obligations Without Loss. New York. June 4. — The Belmont Park meeting is said to have respited in an even break for the Westchester Racing Association. If pits split weather had prevailed on all of the eleven days scheduled there seems to be no doubt that a substantial profit would have been recorded. The heaviest obligations were the Withers Stakes. 0,000 added: the National Stallion Race. .ou i added, and the Belmont. $:;o.-000 guaranteed. It is probable that the values of these events will he materially I educed in future years, as the sport produced bv them this season was not up to the standard. It has been clearly demonstrated that metropolitan race-goers are willing to patronize a card of well-filled overnight events with as mack Hhcralltj as ■ program top-heavy with rich stakes and barren of attractive entries.
