The latter ran a good race and was gaining s.«:uii!y at the end. Duquesne began slowly and had to overcome interference, but finished gamely. Au-teuni Rose ran a g « d race for her and is improving. Darling Florence ran fairly well. Hallack tired ■ft« showing much speed for a half. Ashwell would have been closer up but for a stirrup breaking.
