PROPOSE LEASING OF LAT0NIA TRACK. Barney Schreiber, Frank Bain and Others Would Continue Meeting After Scheduled Closing Date. Cincinnati. O.. June 26. — Barney Schreiber, Frank "Bain and several others intend to make an effort to lease rhe Latonia track after July 5, the scheduled i losing day of the present meeting. Tliev aim to ■continue the meeting for at least thirty days. The proposition that will be submitted to the director* nf the I.ati.nia Jockey Club by Schreiber and his associates is that they will assume all obligations olid pay the Latonia Jockey Club a rental of probably 00 daily for the use of the plant and the privilege of racing under the auspices of the La-tonia Jockey Club. In view of the fact that a lecent offer of 2,000 for the lease of the track by another party desirous of giving a thirty-day meeting here was turned down by the Latonia direc. tors, it is hardly thought that SVhreilier and his tissociates will lie successful in securing the track.
