ST. JAMES YEARLINGS AVERAGE 5279. New York, September 3. Thirty-two St. James Stock Farm yearlings, the property of Irving II. Wiieatcroft. were sold at Sheepshead Bay today for a total of .925. The rather low average of 79 per head probably was due to their somewhat unkempt and rough looks. These are the first yearlings that Mr. Wiieatcroft has ever sold in New York. The only high-priced youngster in the lot was a bav colt by Woolsthorpe Allie Belle, which went to J. W. May for ,700. Others that sold for 00 and over were as follows: Bav or brown colt, by Handspring Pond Lily: R. J. Mackenzie 1909.sh00 Brown colt, by Garry Hermann Senorita: R. J.
