Mr. Ziegler was greatly disaniioinfed over the showing made bv the colt lie sold for 5,000. and. in speaking of the race, said: "ltarleythorpe was badly interfered with in the running, but I question if he was as good as lie was at Saratoga. To my mind lie did not have ihe speed he possessed ten days before the race. It was a great Futuritv day. and the crowd made it look like old times. The prices paid for yearlings make It look lietter. too. I have not sold the half-brother to ltarleythorpe. and Charlie Hughes has set the price a bit higher. Five thousand dollars is what he wants now."
