BARLEYTHORPES BROTHER HELD AT S5.000. Cincinnati. O., September 3. Henry M. Ziegler lias returned from New York, whither lie went to pee ltarleythorie run in the Futurity. Mr. Ziegler was greatly disaniioinfed over the showing made bv the colt lie sold for 5,000. and. in speaking of the race, said: "ltarleythorpe was badly interfered with in the running, but I question if he was as good as lie was at Saratoga. To my mind lie did not have ihe speed he possessed ten days before the race. It was a great Futuritv day. and the crowd made it look like old times. The prices paid for yearlings make It look lietter. too. I have not sold the half-brother to ltarleythorpe. and Charlie Hughes has set the price a bit higher. Five thousand dollars is what he wants now."
