Daley ran a good ! race, was going fastest at the end and would have won in a few more strides. Toy Boy was outpaced from the start and quit badly after going a half. Floreal, prominent throughout, lost ground when turning into the stretch by going wide, but was best of the others. Kenmare Queen ran a good race, but tired near the end. Carew had a rough trip and gained steadily through the last quarter. Night Mist tired after going a good three-quarters in paeeniaklng. Dorothy Webb loomed up a prominent contender for the first three-quarters, but tired near the end. Black Hawk quit badly in the last quarter. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. The Shaughraun dropped out soon after the start, but closed a big gap in the last half and was going fastest at the end. Red Hussar retired after going a fast half.
