DOUBLE FOR THE KUCHEN HORSES. Tampa, Fla., January 10. Cap. Nelson, owned by E. L. Fitzgerald, made an auspicious debut by defeating the two-year-olds that opposed him in the opening race. Weather conditions were again ideal and there was a big attendance. Former jockey William Kucheu scored a double with Hiccough and May Amelia and is credited with having backed the pair extensively elsewhere. Mr. Kuchen telegraphed Frank Weir at Jacksonville today to send him several more horses, as the game here looks easy to him. Society is expected out in force tomorrow to witness the nice in which gentlemen riders will have mounts. The winning rider, in addition to receiving a silver cup. will become the owner of Stepfather, -which won the Hunt Club purse last Monday. Mounts have been arranged as follows for tomorrows race for gentlemen riders: Polly Lee. Mr. Whitley; Front Row, Mr. II. McFall: P.runu Wall. Air. N. McFall: Ben Sand. .Mr. J. W. Lykcs; Niblick. Mr. Moody: Alencon, Mr. Alderman; Little Lighter, Mr. Reach.
