DUTCH ROCK followed the leaders under restraint for a half mile, then moved into a long lead with a great rush and won pulling up. WELAKAO began slowly, but made up ground steadily and got up for secandnd place in Ihe final strides of a game finish. HERETIC ran prominently all the way, but tired in the final six-toeenth. PECCAVI set a fast pace to the stretch, then quit badly. LESCAR was off badly, but failed to improve his position. DORIDE ran fairly well. Scratched 93757 Great Caesar, 103. VANIR, a game colt, followed MA MIE in close pursuit to the last sixteenth, then outstayed the latter in u driving finish. MA MIE set a fast pace and hung on resolutely to the end. REY ran into third place quickly and held it to the finish. SLEEPLAND was outpaced throughout. The others were beaten off. MARBURG was always in. nearest pursuit and, in a game finish, outstayed AYAME for second place. The latter closed a big gap into a close up third. MARIGOT finished fast, but her rider was hit in the eve bv a stone during the race and could not do her justice. MICHAEL ANGELO showed speed, but tired badly in the going. SWAGERLATOR quickly drew but into a long lead and set the pace to the final furlong, then tired under punishment. EVRAN began slowly, but closed a gap and made a fast arid game finish. TILLINGHAST closed a great gap in the last quarter. WARFARE ran in closest pursuit to tlse stretch, then tired badly. ST. FRANCIS went well for a half and quit.
