NOTES OF THE TURF. . Algernon Daingerfield and W. S. Vosburgh have been re-appointed assistant secretary and handicap-per, respectively, by the Jockey Club stewards. There are quite a number of horses in training at the Benning track. C. C. Sniithson has a few on the old ground, including Stinger, High Private and Henry MunrO. Lucien Lyne. according to Deutschcr Sport, will ride in Holland this year as first jockey for the stable of Baroness von Brienen, who lias a string of fourteen horses under the care of W. B. Holrovd-Smith. It is understood that the rulings of the Canadian Racing Associations refusing further entries from It. D. Williams and S. A. Clopton were the results of an inquiry that has been pursued since the investigation at Windsor as an aftermath of which P. T. Chinu was ruled off.
