TAMPA HAS A DISQUALIFICATION. Tampa, Fla., February 4. The hurdle race, which featured todays card, furnished the main incident of the racing and was caused by jockev MoArdles action in using Iris whip on jockey F. Lewis, who had the mount on Jack Baker. Previous to his attack on Lewis he had almost caused Tom Cat to go down on acount of the interference to which he subjected him. He wound up in third place, but the judges disqualified his mount and gave third money to Tom Cat. They also suspended McArdle for the remainder of the racing term. The race was a spectacular one. Jack Baker, running in improved form, wore down Octopus in tho first mile,- but was in turn downed near the end by Cull. Small fields furnished the contests during the afternoon, aud as all the winners were liberally backed the layers again suffered a loss. Jockeys E. Grlflin and D. Murphy were each suspended for five days by the starter for disobedience at the post. Frank Weir telcgrapheU W. P. Kuehen that he would send Bat Masterson and La Salle here from Jacksonville. Jockey MeCabe, now riding there, will come witli the horses. Jockey F. H. King has been recalled by Mr; Weir and will leave for Jacksonville tonight. J. S. Tyrec of Washington is negotiating with jockey E. Griffin for his services for this season. Jockey A. Wrispen was discharged from the hospital today and was at the track. He is still using crutches. Jockey A. Burton is reported doing well and will be alKiut again in a short time.
