NOTES OF THE TURF. J. K. Seagram has lost the Rosebery mare. Rose Madrigal, the dam of Shepherds Song and Bridle Lane. The course at King Edward Park, on lie Grosbois, near Montreal, will be enlarged to. three-quarters of a mile for this seasons racing. A meeting will be held from Juno 24 to July 1, seven days. A Hungarian correspondent writes that there is some friction between Prince Ladislas Lubourirski and the stewards of tho Budapest meeting owing to the refusal of those gentlemen to make an exception in his favor and allow Wlnkfield. the American colored jockey, to ride Ksiaze Pan in the local St. Leger. Winkfiold had been suspended previously for some slight infraction of the rules of racing, and another jockey, unfamiliar with the horse, had to ride, although the owner begged that an exception might on the occasion be made In favor of the stable jockej
