MADDEN SHIPMENT GOES EAST. Lexington, Ky., March 22. The three-year-old maiden filly Flora and eleven two-year-olds, including two colts and nine llllics belonging to John E. Madden, were shipped this morning from Hamburg V.laca to New York in charge of the colored trainer, William Walker. These thoroughbreds are to be trained at the Gravesend track. They have been galloping for some time at the farm. Mr. Madden Is lii New York ami nothing is known here of his plans for racing thein. The announcement from New York that the oflici-sils of the racing associations in the Empire State liave decided to make no applications for dates so long as the directors liability act is on the statute liooks was discouraging news to the breeders of thoroughbred horse.s in the Blue Grass region. As plooihv as thev are. however, they are yet hopeful that the decision of - the New York courts on the constitutionality of the law will Iks favorable to the racilig associations.
