CLYDE STRING REACHES PIMLICO. Baltimore, Md., March 22. Things are livening up at Pimlico, where the Maryland Jockey Club will conduct what promises to be a successful spring meeting from April 29 to May 17. Capt. W. I Presgrave has arrived on the scene from Salihury, Md., witli that portion of the stable of Thomas Clyde which will pass up the April meeting of the Jamestown Jockey Club. The Salisbury winter was particularly mild and pleasant and the Clyde horses are in line condition. Some of the two-year-olds are so far advanced that they may be. sent by Captain Presgrave to Al Weston at Norfolk. The handsomest horse of the Presgrave string is D. L. MeGibbons four-year-old Busy, nc showed much speed before he left Salisbury, and Captain Presgrave believes that he will be up to a bruising mile Iace within six weeks. If the Metropolitan Handicap is renewed by the Westchester Racing Association at Belmont Park in May Busy will be Mr. McGibbons candidate for it. The Bryn Mawr colt, Dalhousic, another four-year-old, has developed materially and is not far from a race. He was a useful racer last season and Captain Presgrave has a notion that hp has improved over winter. Mr. Clydes Mcgantic did not winter at Salisbury. William Garth, who had the Sanders colt at Ingleside Farm in Albemarle County. Va.. all winter, has taken him to Benuing. If Mcgantic stands up this year he is apt to make a useful four-year-old. He is a colt of superb pro portions. Mr. Clydes most prepossessing two-year-olds at Pimlico arc youngsters by Fatherless. Kingston and Garry Herrmann. The Fatherless colt lias been named Garth.
