NOTES OF THE TURF. When the directors of the New Orleans Jockey Club meet today, it is reported that they will consider a plan to dispose of. the City Park racing plant. King George has named two of his horses Winston and Uarcourt. They occupy royal stalls near thoroughbreds bearing the names of Balfour, Chamberlain and Disraeli. A stallion named Johu Bright was chloroformed recently because of old age. What is taken to foreshadow the probable passing of historic Montgomery Park, for years the home of Tennessee Derbys, Montgomery Handicaps and other turf events of importance, is the action a mass meeting of the business men of Memphis in adopting a resolution recommending that the city issue bonds sufficient to purchase tho property for use as a public park.
