MORE INDORSEMENTS AT NORFOLK. Norfolk. Va.. March 27. The Retail Merchants Association and the Norfolk Association of Credit Men are the latest business organizations of this city to" fall in line with official indorsements of the race meeting that Robert Levy will conduct here April 5 to 20. Mr. Levy lias received the following from G. Sellman Williams, general manager of the Association of Credit Men: "Dear Sir At the regulnr midweek luncheon of the Norfolk Association of Credit Men, held at the Fairfax Hotel this day, G. Sellman Williams, gen-oral manager, was instructed to convey to you the associations unanimous indorsement of the spring meeting of the Jamestown Jockey Club, and its most hearty support and efforts to make this the most pleasurable and "successful sporting event in Norfolks history." The indorsement of the Retail Mercants Association is contained in the following resolution, which was adopted without a dissenting voice: "Relieving that the race meeting of last fall, held tinder the auspices of the Jamestown Jockey Club, and managed by Robert Levy, was conducted in a creditable manner and was productive of material benefit to this city and section, and "Relieving also that the spring race meeting will .advertise Norfolk extensively in the principal cities of the country through the announcements in the newspapers and other mediums of the daily events of the meeting: therefore, be it "Resolved, that the spring meeting of the Jamestown Jockey Club be and is hereby .indorsed hy the hoard of directors of the Retail Merchants Association of Norfolk, Va., and the co-operation of the association be extended in promoting the success of the meeting and the interests of tills city and sec-lion in connection therewith."
