NOTES OF THE TURF. There is some talk of a new track at Paducah, Ky. II. T. Oxnard plans to ship eightcwi yearliugs from Virginia to England for the Newmarket July sales. According to James Butler, the Juarez track has been operating at a prollt during the past month or so. Joe Rose, who went south after the closing of the Oakland Meeting, is reported to bo making the biggest book at Moncrief Park. Starter A. B. Dade plans to enjoy a trip to Kentucky between the closing of the Jacksonville meeting and the opening at Pimlico, where he will send the fields away. R. J. Mackenzies string, iu charge of J. D. Ad-kins, has reached Norfolk from Juarez. James Fitz-simmous has also arrived at Norfolk from Jacksonville with his horses. The horses of the Henderson and Hogan string are still at Santa Anita track near Los Angeles, and will remain there until the time comes for their shipment to Louisville for the Churchill Downs meeting. Jockey Frank Keogh is still limping around on a crutch at Juarez as a result of having been crowded against the fence in a race, but he hopes to be in condition to resume riding when the Louisville meeting begins. C. S. Wilson will train a division of Barney Schrcibers stable in Kentucky this season. He has three horses Howard Pearson. Louise B. and Coon-skin Iu California that he will dispose of if the opportunity offers. fom Shaw, according to report, has been having ins ups and downs booking at Jacksonville. He is credited witli haviug recently run an ,800 bankroll up to 3,000 only to afterwards lose the greater part of his prolits.
