HAVE CONFERENCE WITH GOVERNOR DIX. Saratoga Racing Managers Complain to Chief Executive of Drastic Directors Liability Law, Albany. N. Y., April 17. -K. T. Wilson, president, and Andrew Miller, secretary of the Saratoga Association for the improvement of the Breed of Horses, conferred with Governor lix today. They told the governor that If oine method could be devised through legislation to make the so-called directors liability law less stringent, there is a possibility of conducting racing at Saratoga tills year. They doubted if any Other track could be put in condition for this season. Mr. Wilson told the governor he had no scheme in mind, but believed the present law too drastic. New York. April 17. Turfmen were interested today in a seemingly well-authenticated report from White Plains that the officers and directors of the Westchester Fair Association, which holds an annual fair near the Westchester County seat, were considering measures for bringing about the repeal of the law holding ofiiciuls-"if racing associations responsible for belting-law violations. This law has hud the effect or closing tlie big race tracks in the metropolitan district. Tlie report had it that Senator Wainwright of Westchester has been asked to introduce a repeal measure this week at Albany.
