PREDICTS TOMMIE THOMPSON WILL WIN Lexington, Ky.. April 17. In a chut about the breeders Futurity, which is to he run here Tuesday, .May 9, and its probable winner, trainer J. W. May said: "If he is lit and ready the day of the race Louis Doerhofors Ieep oDay colt, Tomiuio Thompson, will rpmp home with that prize. He is one Of the quickest horses at the post that I ever trained and with it he is fast and game. Shelby AVcst has him at Louisville and I hear that he is working satisfactorily. From what I have seen of the others this colt should bo a 6 to 5 shot for the Futurity. The only one that I figure to have a possible chance against him, barring mishaps, is George Chlnns Ben Strome colt, Joe Knight. Ill take those two right now against the held and make a Rood bet, play or pay, at 1 to 2. Horse against horse I would bet 4 to 1 that Tommie Thompson can beat Joe Knight going half a mile, the distance of the Breeders F-nturity." Toniniie Thompson, Joe Knight and Walter Scott, the latter being a Stalwart colt belonging to W. P. Austin, are the only winners among the Breeders Futurity eligibles. Among the maidens the most discussed as having shown up well in their gallops are J. X. Camdens Star Shoot colt, Praetorian; J. L. Holtons Lissak filly. Limousine; T. C. McDowells Hastings filly. Camdens Boola Boola, candidate for the Camden Handicap, worked a mile and an eighth, pulling up in 1:5S, the first mile in 1:43, this morning. This is the best move that has been made here this season. Jack, Baker breezed Joe Morris, another Camden Handicap candidate, a half mile in 03, and will work him a mile tomorrow.
