BUTTE ATTENDANCE RECORD IS BROKEN. Butte, .Mont., July 22. The largest attendanco ever seen at a race meeting here was present today and witnessed racing of an interesting character.! A handicap at one mile and seventy yards was the especial attraction of the afternoon. Meadow. Wade McLemoros good mare, was a mild favorite in the betting but, iworly ridden by Cavanaugh. disappointed her numerous backers. She finished third to Spohn and Arasee. Formful racing was the order of tho day. however, four favorites winning. The first runup of the meeting occurred in the bidding up of Sevenfull to 1911.sh05 by W. S. Heath, The mare was retained by Goodman and Brennau. Jockey E. McEwan, a newcomer here, who rpde successfully at Victoria and Vancouver, carried off the riding honors of the day by scoring on Spohn; and Chilla.
