SEMPROLUS showed great speed in the early running and finished gamely, but tired in the last sixteenth. GRASMERD closed a big gap and was fast gaining third. BUSY, off forwardly, was waited with behind the pacemakers until well into the homestretch, then moved up with a rush into the lead, but tired and just lasted long enough to outstay COLONEL ASHMEADE. The latter was pinched- off and next to the rail soon after the start, but went around on the outside and. llnisiiiug fast, would have won in a few more strides. EDDA ran a good race and finished fast. OAKIIURST showed spied, but tired badly. ROYAL METEOR ran poorly and COHORT failed to stay the route. MAD RIAER showed a fine turn of early speed and diew away into a long lead on the backstretch, but was tiring at the end. BURLY closed a gap and finished gamely. OCHRE COURT could never tret up.
