THREE LINKS took the lead and seemed the winner at the head of the stretch, hut could not withstand LADY RANKINS rush at tho end. YMIR closed up resolutely from, a poor beginning into a good third. ROYAL TEA ran poorly hut was going well at the end. SIDON set the pace but was used excessively early and tired badly. METROPOLITAN began slowly and was far back for the first half, but closed up fast in the stretch and. after having almost knocked ELIZABETH HARWOOD down when a hundred yards from the finish, came on fast and outgamed FERN L. in the closing strides. FERN L. ran a good race, finished gamely and had no mls-lians. ELIZABETH HARWOOD ran well and would have been closer up but for interference. Her rider claimed a foul, but it, was not allowed.
