SPOKANE PROGRAM BOOK ISSUED. Spokane, Wash., August 2S. Announcement of the full program for the first weeks racing at the Coeur dAleno track. September 11-10, was made upon the arrival of associate judge and handicapper. F. St. D. Skinner. It embraces a complete card of six races daily, with a minimum purse offering of 00; the Inaugural Selling Stakes, wortli 1,000; a handicap, worth 00, and the Inland Empire Handicap, wortli ,000. The latter is to be run Saturday, September 1G. The total distribution for the thirty-six races of the first week is 2,400. Judge Skinner came from Butte, where racing ended recently. He said: "Of the 427 horses we had in training at Butte, I speak with assurance when I say that fully 350 will come to Spokane. From Vancouver and other sources I anticipate fully 200 more. We shall have not less than 500 horses from which to make up our. daily racing programs at the new track next month. I should not be surprised if we had more than GOO. That is plenty to provide good racing. The 427 is more than Butte ever had. and everybody there agrees that this years meeting was the most successful from every standpoint in the history of the town. "Aside from a few of the best horses of the Bed-well string, which are being taken east, to be disposed of. Spokane will get all the good horses. I can think of only six or seven good horses that wont come. II. G. Bedwell will send a bunch of his horses here in charge of Walter Heath."
