The latter began slowly, but moved up rapidly while- rounding the far turn, but tired iu the stretch drive. JAAVBONE, slow beginner, gained steadily into a fast going third. SPRINGMASS was never dangerous. STARE closed a big gap and finished fast. THRIFTY set the pace to the stretch and quit. BAYTHORN ran a bad race and can do much better.
