The eighth and quarter posts will be of one color and the sixteenth of a different color. R. F. Carmans ten racers, which he shipped to Lexington, have been returned to the Downs. He made no explanation as to why he curtailed his stay at Lexington. The supposition is that track conditions did not suit his trainer. Elijah Rrewster announced that Fulfill will be sent to the stud at the conclusion of the fall racing season in Kentucky. She will be mated with Cu-nard at E. R. Bradleys Idle Hour farm. J. W. Schorr, owner of Fulfill, also has at Idle Hour Farm the mare, Woodlane, which Is now iu foal to Cunard. Turfmen from Missouri visited the Downs today and stated that a party of racing men and others Interested in the turf had formed a Jockey Club and secured a lease on the track on the Rock Road leading from Wellston, not more than fifteen minutes by trolley from St. Louis. The track has been used recently as a course for automobiles. It is one and one-eighth miles in circumference. The club members are reported to le hopeful of lu duclng the next Missouri legislature to enact a law similar to that which governs racing in Kentucky, and if so. it is proposed to hold a summer meeting in 1912. There will be no conflict with racing in this commonwealth. If the plans materialize a costly grandstand will be erected. The program book for the first week of the Churchill Downs meeting is belug distributed.
