MONTGOMERY PARK FOR PUBLIC USE. Memphis, Tenn., September IS. The passing of the famous southern race tracks wiiere the thoroughbred formerly nourished is lclicved to be complete with the announcement today that the city of Memphis Will purchase the property where Tennessee Derbys formerly were run. Montgomery Parte will become a public park and the site for annual fairs. Almost at the name time comes the announcement that a part of the famous Belle Mcado breeding establishment near Nashville will be converted into a golf course. The Little Rock track Clinton Park, where Arkansas Derbys were run. is planted to a full crop of corn. Other southern tracks have been abandoned or converted into other uses following legislation against betting;
