LADY McGEE followed the pacemaker closely in the early running, then went to the front and drew out easily in the stretch. CHRISTMAS DAISY showed the most early speed, but tired when challenged by the winner. WOOD DOVE was caught in the barrier at the start and, closing a big gap. ran a good race and probably was best. DOROTHY T. ran a fairly good race, but was outpaced. PECASTA. ran well to the stretch and tired. Overweights Lady McGee. 1 pound. HELEN BARBEE, fresh and good, simply smothered the others with speed and was never fully extended. PltEJIIEE quickly closed a gap into closest pursuit and held the others safe for second place after the first quarter. SJ1IRK closed up ground into a game third. LORD WELLS was always outrun. TOP XOTE began slowly, but closed up considerable ground into a fast going third. J. II. HOUGHTON could not get to going freely until in the last quarter. RACQUET dashed to the front in the first sixteenth and, setting a good pace, won all the way. but was tiring at the end and barely lasted long enough to win. BOB It. propped at the start and, after losing much ground, closed a big gap and, coming with a good burst of speed in the last half, would have won in a few more strides. JIADRIGALIAN ran well and had no mishaps. HELENE closed up gamely in the stretch, then tired. DONALD JLVCDONALD ran well for three-quarters and bears watching. Overweights Racquet. 4 pounds. JOE GAITENS re-eehed the worst of the start and, closing a big gap into a close third, would have been a dangerous con-1 nder had he got away well. JIAY AJIELIA ran fairly well. IDLEWEISS ran close up, but in tight quarters to the stretch, then finished fast on the outside and took a Mnall lead in the final stride. GRANIA was saved to the stretch turn, then took the lead and bold on well, but tired near the end. GOLCONDA showed improvement and ran prominently throughout. FOXT tired in the stretch after setting the pace for nearly three-quarters. The winner, entered for 700, was bid up to J.I. 005 and bought in. Scratched 9S030 Dullcare, 114.
