BEN LOYAL ran a good race and shook off ROYAL METEOR in the last furlong. The latter ran in closest pursuit of the pacemaker for a half mile, then tired. The others were outclassed. CHERRY SEED, benefitted by a skillful ride, showed the most speed from the start and, staying well, held the others safe all the way. MISS WIGGS was always in closest pursuit and outgamed CHRYSEIS in the fctretch drive. The latter ran well and met with some interference on the turn out of the backstrctch.
