JENNY GEDDES began slowly, but moved up steadily and was kept in forward contention to the last turn, theii came fast through the stretch and won in a canter. PATRUCHE had a rough trip and finished fast, and gamely.. BETTY FULLER closed an early gap and made a game effort all the way. COLONEL HOLLO-WAY showed much speed and tired near the end. MERODE, when going well, was caught in a jam oa the backstretch. DAHOMEY BOY quit in the last quarter after setting the pace to the stretch. Overweights Colonel Holloway, 4 pounds. The latter began slowly and was far back for the first quarter and taken through the worst going for the entire way, but closed a gap and made a fast and game finish. JIM BASEY set the early pace and then, following the winner closely, held on gamely and almost got up in the final drive. s LITTLE FATHER suffered from interference and closed a big gap into a close-up third. HELMUT also had a rough trip and was going fast at the end. BETTIE SUE had no mishaps. FOLLIE LEVY tired under Her heavy impost. PRINCE GAL quit in the stretch.
