WHITNEY WEEDING-OUT SALE. London, October 14. At a sale in the paddock at Newmarket Thursday Harry Payne Whitneys four-year-old colt New Castle II., by Meddler Homespun, was sold for ,357. The same owners two-year-old gelding, Evening Star, by Hamburg Vespers, fetched ,362. Eight of Mr. Whitneys horses were sold at an average price of 1,650 each.
