MANY HORSES FOR JAMESTOWN. Norfolk, Ara., October 17. Applications for stable room are coming in at a rate that guarantees an overabundance of horses for the coming meeting of tins Jamestown Jockey Club. The management will endeavor to take care of all comers, but when the lists are complete it may be that they will be com-1-elled to refuse some of those who apply. Stables that have never taken part in winter meetings will be shipped here and it means for Norfolk the lest raping ever seen in Virginia. The program will lie arranged to bring all this material into play, and with good weather, there will be good sport. Every indication points to the most successful meeting in November that Norfolk ever knew. Richard T. Wilson, president of the Saratoga Association, and one of the applicants for stabling, has announced Unit lie will ship his entire string to the local track, and among the horses he will bring along are the promising two-year-olds Penobscot, Flying Yankee and Aldebarau. Olambala is on the shelf with what looks suspiciously like a bowed tendon, but handsome old Beaucoup is in fine fettle, as is also Mcxo-ana. Naushon may also be seen in action here. John AVhalen. who lias applied for stabling in the name of August Belmont, chairman of the Jockey Club, says that he is grooming Wutervalc, one of the most brilliant three-year-olds of the season, for the Norfolk races. Recognizing tin; value of races over considerable distances of ground for two-year-olds exclusively, Mr. licvy will provide several such events at one mile, one mile and a sixteenth, and one mile and a furlong. The steeplechase course has been greatly improved and particular attention will bo paid to the jumpers this fall. Among the chasers scheduled to appear here are Thistlcdale. Algie, Coligny. Dutiield. Andy Oliisholui, Jimmy Lane, The Prophet, and L. Navarre. .apt. W. F. Presgrave will send his string here in charge of Al. AVeston. Among the horses Weston will bring are the two-year-olds Garry and Bwana Tumbo. who are owned by Charles S, Campbell, a distinguished lawyer of Montreal.
