ED WHYTE REJOINS VALLEY FARM STABLE. Hamiltou. Out., October 21. The Valley Farm horses will be trained by Ed. Whyte next year. That is the latest announcement in local turf circles. It will be remembered that Mr. Whyte was connected with the stable some years ago, and met with great success. It was under his training that Martimas won the Futurity for the late William Hendrie, and that Butter Scotch and Lyddite won their Queens Plate races. He also fitted Harvey and Laverock for several of their big races, and was always recognized as a first-class man. Mr. Whyte was with the Mackenzie stable for a time, and met with great success with the good horses in that string. He has always been noted as a great man to get horses in shape for the Kings Plate races. The Valley Farm Stable horses will winter at the farm this year instead of at Woodbine. There are Ave good platers at the farm now, aud it looks as though the colors will be hard to beat iu the feature event at Woodbine next spring. Most of the Kings Plate ellgibles are by Martimas, and there are some promising-looking youngsters in the bunch. Denham came through the season In good condition, and If he winters well he willwln many a Canadian-bred stake next season. Powdernian is also at the farm, aud promises to show something as a four-year-old, .
