AMERICAN RIDERS IN DEMAND ABROAD. New York, December 2. Joseph E. Widener, Herman B. Duryea hud several other owners racing abroad will engage American riders for the season of 1912. Mr. Widener has two stables, one of which is raced on the flat and the other through tho field. Mr. Duryeas Sweeper II., a chestnut colt, by Broomstick Ravello II., thus a half brother to Frank Gill, looms as a factor in the Epsom Derby. Sweeper II. was foaled in Franco, but owing to a technical noncompliance with French racing rules the colt is not eligible for a majority of the stakes run in France. The prospects are that William IC. Vanderbilte Montrose II. will also go to the post in Englands blue ribbon event. Such being the case, Frank ONeil, an American jockey, will have the mount.
