PROOF OF CANADIAN PROSPERITY. Toronto. Ont., December 2. The steady expansion of the public, accommodation at the race courses is the best testimony to the increasing popularity of the turf in Canada. Woodbine cannot much longer satisfy its crowds and at Hamilton and Windsor new and larger stands are under construction. Windsor now possesses the most picturesque paddock among the tall trees and the coziest clubhouse in the country. The new stand is to cover the space formerly occupied by the old stand, the ring and the "bleachers." All these structures have been torn down, and the piers are already in for the new stand, which is to be 300 feet long. It will include the most un-to-date accommodation for offices, restaurant and all the various facilities required for the adequate entertainment of large gatherings "and the carrying on of tho business of the race meetings.
