: f AMERICAN YEARLINGS SOLD IN ENGLAND 4 While our borne sold yearlings of 1911 brought a low average at public auction quite satisfactory returns attended the sale of consignment to the English market. It may be said that the yearlings so sold were about the choicest produce of our best stud farms and would have brought good prices in this country. The Iest average was secured for live yearlings from Mr. W. OB. Macdonoughs Ormondale Stud, viz.: .f2.:15. Thirteen from Clarence H.Mnckays Kingston Stud averaged ,041.52 and ten from Mr. August Belmonts Nursery Stud, ,002.50. J. B. Haggins big consignment of forty-two yearlings brought 0,000. an average of slightly more than 020. Eighteen sent over from Virginia by II. T. Oxnard sold for 1911.sh.1So and averaged .$.54:1.00.
