NEWSPAPER WRITERS SUIT FOR LIBEL. The London- Sportsmans Special Commissioner. William Allison, created a sensation on the eve of this j-ears Derby by publishing a rumor of a conspiracy to defeat the favorite, Sunstar, for which there seems to have been not the slightest foundation. By the time the story reached Australia It was so tangled that it appeared in The Sydney Sun that Sir. Allison had been arrested for conspiracy to stop Sunstar. He brought suit against the Independent Press Cable Company and The Sun for damages for libel. The action was brought in London, and was dismissed on the ground that the defendants did not carry on business in England. He says that he will go to Australia and prosecute his suit there. t
