No answers will be sent by mail and none by wire unless reply pre-I payment is made at time of wiring query. Victim, Louisville, Ky. Why not send a name and address. No grievance at all. Oflicials were consulted on all points. Our way is public way, not that of odds layers. Latter, however, have rights. W. G. B., Chicago. The parlay bet on Tom Mass!.; and Feather Duster with a time limit was void as to Tom Massie, as agreed by both parties to the bet because of the time limit. But there does not appear to be any good reason why it should not be paid as a single bet on Feather Duster. Had Tom Massie been scratched no question would have been raised as to paying on Feather Duster. As the bet was void on Tom Massie when it was accepted, it was really right then a bet on Feather Duster alone. J. R. E., San Francisco. Cal. 1 There were 100 racing days on the Canadian circuit last year, from May 20 at Toronto to September 30 at Toronto.
