PETER PAN ENTERS STUD IN FRANCE. New York, January 17. — Phil T. Chinn returned to America yesterday from France on the Miune-lonka, which was four days late on account of a lough trip. He says that the late James R. Keenes stallion, Peter Pan, is standing in France under the management of Frank J. Goulds agent, Mr. Calhoun. His service 0m is 00 and Messrs. Gould, W. K. Vanderbilt, Eugene Leigh and others have already hooked marcs for him. Mr. Chinn says that H. B. Duryea has a nrst-elaas three-year-old out of Running Water that is a likely candidate for important European events. He thinks that Messrs. Vanderbilt and Gould will both win big money this year. Novelty is regarded as the best jumper in France Mr. Chinn reports that a new rule in France require- all mares in foal coming there from other i-ountries to be in France before January 1 of the year iu which they are to foal.
