MARLBORO PATRONAGE FALLS OFF OFFApril April 10 Cold weather weathercoupled coupled witli the fact that the local baseball season began resulted In a falling off in the attendance at the Marlboro track this afternoon At the same time the crowd that made the journey from this city and Baltimore was fairly large Specula ¬ tion was lively as the fields were well matched Some good racing was witnessed there being several close finishes finishesThe The fourth race a selling affair at one mile and a sixteenth attracted the best field of the afternoon and Supervisor won another race for Joseph Cuda when he beat his op osition in a canter Cuttyhunk was nn even money favorite but met with bad racing luck being itocketed so that he could not get a chance to show his speed until the race was over Otilo on which there xvas a strong tip acted as pacemaker until the far turn was reached Then Supervisor moved up with a rush on the outside and taking the lead without any trouble just cantered along for the rest of the trip and reached the judges stand six lengths in advance of Otilo OtiloEarl Earl of Richmond which finished second in the fifth race fared just as badly as Cuttyhunk as he was much the best but was penned in for tho greater part of the way and could never get through until the stretch was reached reachedJockey Jockey Pickens resumed riding and while he had several mounts during the afternoon the best he could do was to finish second with Otilo and third with Galinda and Steleliff W C Weant who owns these horses thought he had an excellent chance to win all three nurses but luck was against him himAfter After several disappointments during the meeting Lord Wells finally made good in the third race when he led from start to liuish and won easily
