GETTING READY AT LOUISVILLE TRACKS, U.uisville, Kv., March It!. At both Churchill Downs and Douglas Park preparations are being made for the influx of horses from stock farms and the two winter tracks. At present, there are IK! horses at Churchill Downs and about 110 at Douglas Park. Those who have horses at the Downs are: Kurton and Moseley, 2; George J. Long, Hi; II. R. Brandt, :!; V. O. Scully, 4; James Grithn, 4; M. It. Grnber, 4; J. MacManus, 0; J. S. Kverman, 2G; 11 P Brooks, 1; W. .1. Rurkholder, 2: H. II. Emmons. 3; Dan U-han. 11: A. D. Steele, 6: V. E. Phillips, 4: C. 15. Reid, 4; J. W. OShay, 1; J. E. Madden. R. . . , , . , , . The Madden string arrived last week. This is the biggest string Mr. .Madden has campaigned in vears. He has several likely looking ones in his stable that have shown well in early trials. There have been several reservations made for Phillies which are expected at the Downs this week, sinning them being: Thomas Fortune Ryan. 10; i. W. .7. Bissell, !; O. A. Rianchi. .!: G. L. Black ford. 4: Grover C. and W. H. Raker, 15; W. II. Fizcr, S; W. II. Frev, 4; James Johnston, .5; J. . Messervv, :t; 1. J. OConnell, :i. and T. L. Pierce, i. W. if. Karrick will take his big string to Douglas Park for spring training upon his arrival from South Carolina. J. W. Schorrs string is already at Jiouglas Park. The Memphis brewer has twenty-five hi his stable there in charge of his son, .1. F. Schorr, who has trained the big stable for several years with success.
