MANY STARTERS AT JUAREZ TRACK. Orange Blossom Repeats Recent Winning Performance in Most Attractive Race of Day. El Paso, Tex., March 10. A race for maiden two-year-olds and five selling races constituted to days offering at the Juarez track. The fields were in the main large and tiuweildy, as is usually the case as the end of a long meeting approaches, the natural result of a general desire on the part of horsemen to take advantage of the limited opportunity that remains to win a purse or two. The juvenile race enabled Kay Spences Coin-uiauretta to graduate from the maiden class. She beat Getrtude 15., a lirst-time starter from the Livingston stable, that set the pace, by a head. Mex and Ida, coupled as the F. I. Weir entry, went to Hie post at odds-on, but neither was able to place. Mc.Man. a receding favorite, had things all hs own way at the end of the second race, and Clinton, also a "favorite, accounted for the following race. The fourth, a three-quarter mile dash, brought out the best field of the day from the standpoint of piality. It was won hy Orange P.lossom in a driving Jinisli with Seneca. Hie even money choice, and Cantem. After having been well backed at long odds, Ren Grcenleaf was returned the winner of the lifth. lie and the favorite, Lady Rillie, came from behind simultaneously in the stretch racing and the winners margin at the tinish was half a length. The closing race found Chilla victorious. I.iltcral odds were obtainable against her and L. Ruilingame, whose Chanliclor finished second, became her owner by a bid of sftvm. She had been entered for .00. The stewards today removed the susension against the horses owned by 11. Ford, provided they are disposed of by bona-lide sale. The ruling made against D. Ford still stands. II. Mack bought Ooma from P. T. Chinn this morning. The terms of the purchase were private. The special train which will leave here for Kentucky .March 24 will be the largest horse train that has ever pulh-d out for the lSltte Grass country. There will be nearly 20o horses going to Louisvilk, and they include the stables of James Butler. Jefferson Livingston, J. F. .fc IL S. Newman, Kay Speiic and many others. Two of Jefferson Livingstons two-year-olds worked sensationally at the Jockey Club Juarez course recently. Ed Howard, a candidate for the Breeders" Futurity at Lexington, and Marie OBrien ran a iiiarler in 21 "h, three furlongs in 34, and Id Howard a half mile in 47. pulled up. Trainer Goldblatt snvs-that I-7d Howards lirst quarter was faster than Iu ever worked linn Mask at that distance, and he is confident now that in this son of Cesarion the Juarez course this season has developed for Mr. Livingston another juvenile of the Hawthorn am! Old Rosebud type. Goldblatt Stales lhat Ed Howard carried 13tl pounds in the trial. Recent work-outs of horses in training at Juarez were as follows: Weather dear; track fast.
