PLANS FOR JUAREZ IMPROVEMENTS. 101 Paso, Tex., March 11. Reforo leaving Juarez for his home in Kentucky. Manager M. J. Winn of the Jockey Club Juarez, perfected the plans for extensive improvements to the track and buildings that he has in view. These improvements will be carried out under the direct supervision of track superintendent Frank Keegan. who intends to remain here until all of the work is completed. This may keep Keegan here all summer. The improvements include the erection of 150 itdditiotial adobe slalls. which will bring the total number of stalls at the track up to 1,250. This in all probability will set a new mark for stabling accommodations on any American track. New roofs will be provided for at least 500 of the old stalls, while the paddock will be enlarged and inclosed with glass on the side facing the track. The present free field stand has been fouud inade-ipiate and will be torn down and replaced by a new one at a point a little further back than the present one, and out of view of the people who patronize the grandstand. The wire fence that incloses the track on the north and west lioimdarios will be replaced with an adobe wall 12 feet high. This will afford the track some protection from the strong winds that occasionally blow. The administration and Secretary Jaspers offices will undergo a complete transformation. The track will also be given some attention, the improvements thereon including rcsoiliug and banking of the turns. The cost of the improvements will approximate 0,000.
